<Area 63 Joint Meeting Report>

Area 63 joint meeting was held on September 30, 2017 at Namba Citizen Learning Center. It was organized on the same day as Area 63 Tall Tales Contest, and was attended by around 50 members from the following three clubs and some guests.

・Kyoto Toastmasters Club

・Hokusetsu Bilingual Toastmasters Club

・Naniwa Toastmasters Club

It was the first joint meeting after the new club alignment, so it was exciting and also a new experience for many members. The meeting consisted of three sessions, as is the case for a regular meeting, but the table topics session was conducted both in English and Japanese, because both Kyoto and Hokusetsu are bilingual clubs. The room was filled with laughter and air of excitement.

Of course, this joint meeting provided us a great opportunity to mingle and make friends with other club members. We enjoyed small talks during intermission and lunch time, and moved on to the Area Contest.

＜Area63の合同例会を実施しました＞
 
2017年9月30日、Area63のエリアコンテストにあわせ、コンテスト前の11時より、Area63の３クラブの合同例会を、難波市民学習センターにて行いました。
（参加クラブ）
・京都トーストマスターズクラブ
・北摂バイリンガルトーストマスターズクラブ
・なにわトーストマスターズクラブ
 
合同例会の参加者は約50名。
新たなエリア編成後初の合同例会であり、他クラブのスピーチを聞いたり、論評したり、というのはとても新鮮！しかも、通常例会と同じく、即興スピーチ・準備スピーチ・論評スピーチの３部構成でしたが、京都TMC及び北摂バイリンガルTMCがバイリンガルクラブのため、即興スピーチの部は英語・日本語の両方で行われ、なにわTMCのメンバーには日本語の即興スピーチは初体験でした。ほら話のエリアコンテスト前ということもあり、ユーモアあふれるスピーチも多く、例会は笑い一杯で、会場は熱気に包まれました。
勿論、合同例会は他クラブのメンバーと友人になる絶好の機会。休憩時間、終了後コンテストまでのランチの時間は他クラブのメンバーとのおしゃべりもはずみ、エリアとしての一体感を感じつつ、皆さんエリアコンテストに向かいました。​
